Too Close

Sometimes you are too close, to see the great scene,
So much looking straight forward, to see where you've been.
Always on your long travel, you march on without care,
Whilst we try keeping up, your heals we do stare.

Sometimes you are too close, to see where you stand,
So far you are ahead, down a route you planned.
Always on your long travel, you march on without care,
We stand and we watch, too soon to be there.

Sometimes we are too focussed, on the one great dream,
So much we dont see, what others may have seen.
Always on your long travel, you march on without care,
We get left far behind, is it lonely over there?

Sometimes you are too near, to see from so far,
So far you are ahead, dont know where you are.
Always on your long travel, you march on without care,
We sit and we wait, admire the view over there

Sometimes we are too close, to see who we are,
So much we don't see, like the view from afar.
Always on our long travel, we march on without care,
To get through this life, run fast to get there.
