Foggy Sunrise

The sun now slowly rises,
Behind a sea of fog,
Familiar place with eerie glow,
Muffled sounds of a dog.

The sun rises ever higher,
View doesn't look quite right
Birds are almost silent now
And none have taken flight.

The sun still moves slowly,
Beautiful sight to be seen,
Man wrapped up so warm,
Wonder where he has been.

The sun continues on its way,
A women does silently jog,
Headlight on the car passing,
Filtered by the thick fog.
