Down road so very rough,
To stop at quary side,
Walk the track not tough,
To the wooden bird hide.

The lookout from the hide,
At the birds flying high,
Shelter from bitter wind inside,
Canadian geese pass on by.

The sky a lovely blue,
Leaves are an autumn brown,
A place thats refreshingly true,
Just outside of a town.

To nature the quarry returned,
With water now so deep,
Peace we all have learned,
The memory forever I keep.
