Holly

The holly is placed, around the door frame,
Mistletoe is hung high, the old kissing game.
Fire in the hearth, the log is burning,
Tales from the ages, young children are learning.

The holly a reminder, the season of giving,
Songs of the season, time of good living.
Food in the oven, the feast we prepare,
Stories from the elders, show we all care.

The holly is present, the table soon set,
Time for the gifts, what we did get.
We must give thanks, for all we become,
Messages from the past, makes the days fun.
