When friends leave

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
Those bad words, you did believe.
Never an expectation, you would leave.

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
Rumours you hear, I hear too,
Never an expectation, were from you.

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
Not done that, or said back,
Never an expectation, of your attack.

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
Others who believe, all the lies,
Never an expectation, you'd break ties.

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
The blame game, ends now see,
Never an expectation, you'd hurt me.

I treated you, like a friend,
Never an expectation, it would end.
My life continues, I have learned,
Never an expectation, page is turned.
