Reaction to the breakdown of civilisation

The shame we feel, as anarchy takes hold,
No where is safe, for young and old.
The country I love, scorched black by fire,
Riots on the streets, the world turning dire.

They have no right, no excuse they're with,
What right have they, no reason to give.
The country I love, the fires burn on,
Looting in the street, and then are gone.

The disgust we feel, as anarky does reign,
Now that other cities, join in the same.
The country I love, the flames rise high,
Like a battle zone, smoke in the sky.

They have no reason, no excuse the truth,
What right they have, with absence of proof.
The country I love, with streets in ruin,
Do they even realise, the damage they're doing.

The disbelief we feel, as shop is burned,
Five generations to build, now destroyed we learned.
The country I love, stand behind the police,
People do get hurt, whilst keeping the peace.

They have no right, no excuse they're with,
What right have they, no reason to give.
The country I love, as trouble does spread,
No concern have they, if people get dead

H Mann a very true poem, well written, very thoughtful. Well done, shame the words won't be heeded by the mindless thugs
S Walker another poem that is well written and grabs the heart. My thoughts are with everyone over there!!
