Summertime Joy

Summertime

The birds play on updrafts, in the sky,
You watch them move, way up high.
Warmth of the sun, upon my skin,
Tastes and smells, summer will begin.

The flowers dance, gentle breeze blows,
A babbling brook, now slowly flows.
Sounds of children playing, having fun,
The sights and sounds, summer has begun.

Ice cream vans, and super chilled cans,
Sweltering heat wave, and cooling fans.
Picnics in parks, and ice filtered beers,
The heat and humidity, summer is here.
