trick or treat

It's late at my home,
Long after the last light,
Who does come a knocking,
My door this very night.

As I opened the door,
They gave such a fright,
Ghosts, ghouls, vampires 'n' spirits,
Such a horrible scary sight.

Trick or treat they announce,
Locate a treat I might,
Don't want to upset them,
For that vampire might bite.

All those ghosts and ghouls,
Fear of attack or fight,
Now I return to safety,
So have a lovely night.
