Winters Shadow

Winds do blow so very cold,
Not a time for the old.
Snow and rain keeps on falling,
And the dark is forever calling.

Days of summer long since past,
Here in the winters shadow cast.
Ice forms on your window pane,
Chill goes right through you again.

Light does go so very quick,
A season that appears to stick.
Dark and cold days never end,
Little light the sun does send.

Days of Spring long to go,
Land covered in blanket of snow.
Your breath taken in frigid air,
Chill stays with you every where.
